Yellow Fever Mosquito
The book I read was Fever 1793
I picked question E ~ What did you find surprising about this book?

This book was surprising in its own ways. It mostly had a surprise on every chapter I read and made me keep reading to see what would happen next. It was fascinating to learn more about this disease in the book even though I wouldn't want to learn about it in regular time besides reading.

The main surprise was how a disease called yellow fever made mostly everyone evacuate from Philidelphia. Mosquitos caused this disease and it happens in the summer when they come out. In the winter the disease dies off due to the frost coming. Another surprise is how fast the disease spread and how many died a day. At least one hundred died in the begining a day, but then it started going by thousands. Every time the church bell struck in a row was how old the person was when they just died. The people in Philidelphia evacuated extremly fast and whoever was left would steal from the poor or dead/dieing left with nothing.

These are the main surprises i read about. The book was extremly fascinating and I would most definately recommend it to a friend to read. It gives useful information even though you'd think it's just a book someone wrote to entertain someone, but this book does both.
